The Design Society is an exclusive online community driven by people who believe in the promotion of exceptional design. First Established in 2005 by design-et-al magazine, The Design Society aims were to work closely with interior designers to promote their work to a wider audience via the magazine. Fast forward to 2011 and the Design Society is re-launched to include those who work in all sectors of the design profession. Its aims are the same; to provide a community that, supported by a leading interior design magazine, not only promotes excellence in design but also stimulates discussion through social media, online publications and events.
The new look 2011 Design Society memberships reflect our changing design emphasis; with our members specialisms now ranging from interior and product design through to architecture, naval architecture and interior design for yachts and private jets. Our growing national and international membership reflects both the interior and commercial sectors.
The Design Society is a members only group with an international presence that connects and promotes members that are in practice both nationally and internationally. The society aims are to facilitate the connection of new global design partnerships. All our applicants are assessed on their suitability according to criteria that ensures a highest quality membership. One thing that has not changed for the Design Society is that we require all our members to share our passion and standards for exceptional design.
