Congratulations to Admiral Tecnomar / The Italian Sea Group Winners of the Power Yacht over 40 Metres Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2014

Admiral Tecnomar – Yachting Hub of The Italian Sea Group have been shortlisted for the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2014, with their project Admiral Impero 40 Cacos V entering the Power Yacht over 30 metres category.

Admiral Impero 40 Cacos V, a 40 metre aluminum yacht of the semi-displacement “Impero” line. Innovative lines, vertical bow and strong personality are the main features of this yacht.

Cacos V has great spaces for her category: with a 479GT volume, it boasts the record of being the 40 meters motor yacht with the biggest internal volume ever.

Cacos V has also received an important recognition by RINA (Registro Italiano Navale): she has been recognized as the the most silent yacht in the world for reaching the highest standard ever achieved in RINA classified yachts with reference to noise and vibration.

From the very beginning the Owner had the chance to pass their requirements to the yard designers who have taken good care in finding the best solutions.

The main points outlined referred to:

1. Very good noise insulation and no vibration. The great results achieved in RINA tests in comfort class and the award received represent the best witness of the yard effort in this sense.

2. Good sea keeping characteristics

3. Above average speed for similar size and type of yachts (18+ cruising). Maximum speed is actually 21kn.

4. Large master cabin and large foyers. Large spaces which could give an extraordinary comfort unusual for a 40m size. Actually, most of the areas feature spaces you normally find in a 50m yacht.

The design is traditional in line with Admiral brand values, but with a very masculine character: it reminds, indeed, a powerful “military” ship.

In order to improve visibility, the wheelhouse of Cacos V has sloped reverse windows (as big transatlantic) to reduce reflections and water effects on the windows and it has also wide bridge wings which protrude from the external profile of the superstructure to let, during maneuvers, maximum visibility fore and aft.

The external bulwarks are almost vertical in order to increase space and visibility; windows, instead, are very wide to allow the natural light come in.

The particular external gleanings and the shining/matt colors contrast of the hull increase the stylistic appeal.
