Le Blanc et Noir Owner’s Retreat from AERIA Luxury Interiors is a secluded sanctuary that redefines the concepts of health, wellness and self-care during long-range air travel. Discreetly located in the aft cabin of the Boeing BBJ MAX 8 aircraft concept, Le Blanc et Noir Owner’s Retreat is the heart of the interior, providing the discriminating owner with the ultimate private environment for luxurious intercontinental travel.
Utilising the full width of the fuselage, Le Blanc et Noir Owner’s Retreat is based around a fully-equipped Wellness Cabin, flanked by a lavish VIP Bedroom and a luxurious VIP Lavatory. The Wellness Cabin offers the passenger invigorating and soothing activities designed to relieve the stress of long-range travel, including a gold-accented treadmill and stationary bike equipped with interactive touchscreen monitors, and non-TT&L Shiatsu massage chairs with integrated touchscreen tablets. Entertainment is available via pop-up video monitors and a dedicated sound system. Patterned translucent panels provide privacy for the user while visually enlarging the space. Herringbone wood veneer flooring, organic valance and siddelege shapes and a custom ceiling fixture complete the space.
The VIP Bedroom boasts a lateral king size bed, with a frosted translucent panel integrated in the headboard to allow passage of natural light. The frosted panel design is carried over to the full-size armoire on either side of the bed, equipped with custom lighting sconces mounted onto antique patina mirrors. A simulated fireplace opposite the foot of the bed adds an additional touch of elegance. The VIP Lavatory is aft of the Wellness Cabin and features a spacious steam shower and twin black marble vanities with asymmetrical design features. The Carrara marble/wood veneer flooring is temperature-controlled and configured in a custom pattern.
The overall design focus has been to create visual interest by combining textural layering of uncommon materials with a classic and striking colour combination, while utilizing unconventional space planning to promote a feeling of spaciousness. The introduction of the Wellness Cabin as an integral part of the Master Bedroom Suite offers a real solution to the effects of stress and fatigue during long-range air travel, increasing the chances of busy VIPs arriving at their destinations relaxed, refreshed and ready for work or leisure.
