Master furniture makers, Archer & Smith have been shortlisted for the ‘Bespoke Cabinetry’ award in the International Product Design Awards 2013.

The Klimt cabinet was designed and manufactured from a collaboration with designer Nigel Pearce , artist James Gemmill and Archer & Smith.

The decorative marquetry inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt is in a variety of exotic dyed natural veneers including Bovilar, Figured Sycamore, Birds eye Maple and inset with mother of pearl and abalone shell.

The interior is finished in a stunning quilted maple veneer with smoked mirror shelves, the centre draw features a bespoke cigar humidor. The base is forged from steels and copper plated.
