Artwood have been shortlisted for the Flooring award in the International Product Design Awards 2015.

The appropriately named Arabian Night finish, from Artwood’s Precious Metal Collection, was selected as the flooring for the recently refurbished Mamounia Lounge in Mayfair. A pure black background and a metallic gold inlay within the timber grain defines the dark and luxurious nature of this elegant wood floor. The stylish, Middle Eastern themed interior, is enhanced by the opulence of the floor finish which incorporates elements of real gold within it.

The Precious Metal Collections include a choice of Gold, Silver or a mixture of both elements, which have been hand inlaid into the wood grain of the floor and then sealed with the highest quality lacquers for protection. This collection offers a decadent and stylish range of bespoke wood floors with metal inlays, suitable for both residential and high traffic commercial use.

All Artwood floors are hand finished in the UK utilising exclusive finishing techniques have been developed entirely in-house. Multiple flooring formats including plank, parquet and chevron are available in all Artwood finishes. Artwood uses only select grade European Oak for our flooring, a sustainable species which is used as the canvas for the creation of exquisite finishes, thus avoiding the need to use other, more endangered species of timber.
