Bespoke London have reached the shortlist for the International Design and Architecture Awards 2013 (Residential £5 million plus Award) with a truly unique interior scheme.

Westbourne Grove

Bespoke were commissioned by a young couple to design the interior of their apartment in Westbourne Grove, London, which had been finished to a developer’s basic specification. The stunning and architecturally unique 3,494sqft apartment, with significant lateral space, was arranged over two floors and included wonderful 1631sqft terraces.

Bespoke were asked to take the architectural and very minimal interior and transform it into a luxurious and edgy interior to suit the lifestyle of the stylish client. The client’s brief was for the interior to be ahead of trend, with creative reflection on traditional detail. It was to be classic in terms of timeless elegance, yet this was to be combined with an exclusive edge in terms of sexy, light filled entertainment spaces.

A subtle palette mix of duck egg blue, navy and grey tones harmoniously melt into the relaxing family / entertainment area. The walls are adorned with champagne sycamore panelling and almond gold metal inlay inspired by Art Deco geometry. Beautifully detailed bespoke furniture pieces include a sofa with wenge framing and stainless steel & dark navy shagreen inlays, which contrast with cushions in the softest velvet. In one corner of the room, the bar (a social necessity for the client) is finished with an onyx inset bar top wrapped in a moulded stainless steel edge.

Herringbone wool fabric adds refined texture to the walls of the master bedroom and the room is set apart from the rest of the apartment with a very quintessential English style. An open mezzanine forms a study / library and showcases the crystal ‘Simpler Skeletons’ chandelier, designed by Brigitta Spinocchia.

Bespoke London have also reached the shortlist for the International Hotel and Property Awards 2013.
