design et al are delighted to announce that Bozca Design have been shortlisted for the Concept Under 40 Metres Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2019.
Performance, luxury and innovation come together in Sarco by Bozca Design. Envisioned with the blend of automotive and yacht design, this 19 metre luxury yacht is ready to take to the seas. Innovative use of carbon fibre, a material that will endow the craft with a very high degree of safety as well as extreme torsional stiffness. This also gives the opportunity to explore new surface design and sculptural shapes to lure sensual design with sharp personality.
The dramatic exterior styling draws its inspiration from the head of the pre-historic crocodile Ferocious Sarcosuchus. The deck layout is minimalist and symmetrical, with two aft sunbeds separated by a central companionway that leads into the cockpit with its central helm station and twin L-shaped seating areas. Below decks, Sarco would feature a full-beam owner’s cabin with OLED lighting and a crisp, modern interior décor.
Bozca Design adds that his 19 metre yacht would be fitted with twin MTU V10 2000 M94 units for a top speed of 53 knots, meaning it could hold its own among the world’s fastest superyacht tenders. The engines would be showcased in a pair of glass cabinets so that guest could admire the sheer power of the drivetrain. Bozca Design’s key aspect of this project is that, instead of being hidden away, the yacht’s powerful engines are specifically designed to be shown off through a rear glass cabinet that connects seamlessly to the sun bed.
