A modern take on a Mexican villa was created with local materials that lent an authentic Mexican look to the contemporary feel of the home.
Casa El Dorado is located on a premier beach front in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The generous villa was designed to entertain large groups of guests at a time. The lively interior design, which mixes Mexican inspired colours and patterns with a mix of contemporary and traditional furniture, creates a vibrant space that is well suited for entertaining and kicking back.
The attentive client wanted a space where all their guests would feel comfortable. They requested for there to be a number of luxurious spaces, full of soft and textured fabrics for lounging. Furthermore, Casa El Dorado considers the privacy and independence of its visitors with hidden sound proofing that maintains the harmony between those who are early to bed and those who enjoy later nights. The villa includes nine unique bedrooms that showcase the stunning views with large windows and playfully incorporate a beachy feel with commissioned art and photography. Large dinner parties are gracefully hosted at two large dining tables catered to by the full and in-house commercial kitchen. For evening night caps and socializing there are two bars on different levels, a game room, and numerous balconies and patios.
Each space maximizes the views out of the house, merging the interior and exterior experience. When not at the beach, visitors can sun themselves on the pool deck or submerge in the enchanting pool and hot tub which merge seamlessly with the ocean’s horizon. Without a doubt, each guest is considered, cared for, and entertained in this highly experiential Mexican villa.
Between the colours and textures, you see the outside reflected on the inside. Whether it be the turquoise ocean or a pink sunset, the colour palette was deeply inspired by the wider environment.
