Congratulations to Annette Frommer Interior Design who have been shortlisted for a Residential £1-2.5Million Project By Value Award

design et al are delighted to announce that Annette Frommer Interior Design have been shortlisted for a Residential £1-2.5 Million Project By Value Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2016

This project was commissioned by clients who wanted to redo this 3 bedroom apartment for their retired parents, so they can spend a few months a year in Jerusalem next to their family. Annette Frommer Interior Design worked closely with their daughter-in-law, who wanted only the best for them, to maximize the layout and design and meet all their needs. Annette wanted this apartment to be chic and elegant but at the same time to exude a warm and welcoming feeling that would be conducive to a familial environment.

Since they wanted a monochromatic colour scheme, Annette used throughout the rooms a few different shades of grey with a few touches of brass to bring warmth. The only real colours were added in pillows and accessories. In the living room, the use of grid patterned wall panelling conceals the door to the bedroom’s hallway, as well as a storage area and electrical board, giving it a seamless continuous look. All the furniture was custom designed and made to order, carefully chosen to complement the surroundings. For the dining table top Annette chose a unique Calacatta Gold marble slab. The walls were treated by a speciality painter who created a distinctive and luxurious velvet finish.  ID&A16_AnnetteFrommerInteriorDesign_ApartmentinJerusalem_Residential£1-2.5million_thumbnailOverall the warm, muted colour scheme lends a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere, with carefully chosen fixtures and furnishings bringing subtle, brightening highlights to the design.ID&A16_AnnetteFrommerInteriorDesign_ApartmentinJerusalem_Residential£1-2.5million_4
