design et al are delighted to announce that  Banda Property  have been shortlisted for a Kitchen over 50,000 Award in The International Design And Architecture Awards 2016 

Banda Property were enlisted to to create the ultimate contemporary social dining space for cooking and entertaining within this original Victorian bakery building.The kitchen brief was essential to the entire Heritage Collection concept and finished product; linking the past with the present. The lateral open plan space, the high ceilings and the light from the large arched bakery windows make for a truly unique space.

The Kitchen features induction cooking, LED recessed lighting, a high level extractor, full height cabinetry and a Carrara marble island with seating for a clean look and luxurious feel. The brief included dining space for up to 14 people – again to reflect simplistic design within the highest specification oak detail.The design is reflective of the occupier. The kitchen is spacious, yet welcoming. It is an area where those who previously lived in large family houses would feel at home, in a space perfect for entertaining. The clean lines are sophisticated, stylish and practical.

Further work space is available in the form of the island which enables families and friends to be together during food preparation or just to enjoy the beauty of a modern home. A top-of-the-range home entertainment system is intricately built in ensuring that the space does not become too cavernous if the occupier is at home alone. Underfloor heating ensures warmth while the bioethanol fire in the kitchen gives a further feeling of luxury in design. The fireplace which is finished in polished plaster also provides the perfect means of separation of living and dining area.
