design et al are pleased to announce that Chris Diamond Design have been shortlisted for a Residential Swimming Pool Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2016
This swimming pool was designed by Chris Diamond Design on behalf of a high-end property developer for a grade-11 listed building in the heart of Hampstead Heath, London. The eleven metre pool forms part of a luxurious and modern underground leisure suite featuring a sauna, steam room and gym which extends into the games room, an opulent cinema and bar. Sleek design elements throughout include a dark tinted glass wall which reflects both the modern LED linear lighting and large natural stone slabs in varying shades of grey. The pool space encourages daytime relaxation with loungers positioned under an ample skylight.
After dark, the pool is dramatically transformed into a dark, stylish and sexy space. Natural stone v-tiles create a stunning 3D effect on a feature wall from within the sauna area to the cascading water feature. Day and night the water gently flowing over the edge of the infinity pool and the sophisticated colour palette encourages restorative relaxation.
