design et al are delighted to announce the further success of Collier Webb in the Lighting – Lamp Category of The International Product Design Awards 2015

Shown here in an Antique Silver finish with frosted glass, the Collier Webb Roswell Table Lamp is produced using a variety of processes which include the traditional method of sand casting as well as metal spinning, metal rolling and machining. The underside of the shade is fitted with a ‘slumped’ glass panel. This section is formed by first cutting the glass to the desired size. It is then added to a mould in a kiln where the glass slumps into the convex shape. When it is taken out of the kiln the edges are cut and smoothed out to a more refined finish. It is then frosted in order to allow the light to diffuse evenly throughout.

 The lamp can be finished in any of the Collier Webb standard metal finishes and can also be fitted with LED lighting strips. By blending traditional craftsmanship with the latest technologies, Collier Webb have created a range of elegant and versatile products which are crafted to the highest standards of manufacture and finish. These are products which will compliment classic and contemporary environments equally and they can be personalised in a choice of finishes to reflect individual style and taste.
