design et al are delighted to announce that Design Intervention have been shortlisted for Restaurant Award in The International Hotel and Property Awards 2017.
The venue is a new wine tasting, restaurant and entertainment concept, within a rooftop oasis in West Singapore. The location is far outside the city centre so the design had to be impactful in order to entice guests to make the out of town journey. All the carpentry pieces as well as the loose furniture pieces and many of the light fixtures are bespoke creations, designed to complement and seamlessly work together to create an interior that is totally unique. 
The client set Design Intervention the task of creating the ambience of an American mountain lodge. The challenge was to create a look that is commonly associated with snowy, mountain terrains, and rework it so that it blends seamlessly into lush tropical Singapore. The large windows and open spaces give the clients the best of both worlds – residing in luxury whilst getting the best possible views of the Singapore surroundings and skyline.
Design Intervention are particularly proud of how they combined the essence of an American mountain lodge but blended it with a subtle undercurrent of an Asia Spa resort to make it relevant to the local environment. The results is a mash up of two seemingly opposing design themes in a striking yet harmonious manner. The choices of fabrics and the lighting scheme that Design Intervention have implemented really reflect the cabin lodge theme whilst providing a high-end luxury experience for its clients and patrons.
