design et al are delighted to announce that Designed by Light have been shortlisted for a Pendant/Chandelier award in The International Product Design Awards 2015
The brief was to design a contemporary, metal pendant suitable for both homes (specifically hallways, bedrooms, sitting rooms or dining rooms) and restaurants that uses a linear LED light source. The Titian pendant is formed from a hoop of delicate metal mesh supported by two rings of metal and suspended by 3 metal cables.
A side emitting linear LED light source is hidden within the top ring and gently illuminates the mesh revealing the inherent beauty of the material and at the same time creating a pool of downward light. It is available in 3 standard finishes – copper, brass and steel (although other bespoke finishes can be ordered) and one standard size 600mm diameter and 155mm deep.
