design et al would like to congratulate O&O SP. Z O.O on their successful shortlisting at the International Design & Architecture Awards 2016. Aberconway House is a 4 floor building in the center of London.
The basement, with complete new layout, consists of the spa zone, the swimming pool and the steam bath as well as the professional kitchen and service rooms. The first floor is the representative area and also private apartments.
First and second floor remained in historical placement of the walls.The third and four floor received completely new arrangement of the rooms and their destiny.The main construction intervention included the service elevator. In terms of the Whole project, they Replaced all of the electrical installations, they innovated the air conditioning systems and they installed a Lutron intelligent house system.
The favorite aspect of the project is the final result-a successful cooperation between light designers, furniture suppliers and the realization team. The project consisted in mixing ancient elements with modern art and modern furniture. The hall and the dining room on the first floor was made by Karl Lagerfeld.
