Congratulations to Taylor Howes who have been shortlisted for Residential £1-2.5 Million (Project by Value) Award

design et al are delighted to announce that Taylor Howes have been shortlisted for Residential £1-2.5M (Project by Value) Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2016

The design intent for this project was to create a luxurious family home that took into account the character of the building, as well as the specific needs of the client. As a collector of 20th Century British art, the client requested that her pieces play a central role in the design and as such the colour scheme was to be aligned with the collection.

In the living/dining room, the elegant blue, white and gold combination provides the space with a rich and luxurious feel, in contract to the serene aqua green, silver and gold of the master bedroom. Due to the size of the space, it was important that the team redesigned the layouts to ensure that the property worked efficiently and that all furniture served a necessary purpose.

The team paid particular attention to the furniture layout of the living room and developed a multi-functional space that included a kitchenette hidden behind folding mirror panels, a dining room and a formal seating area.
