Luxe et al are delighted to announce Conrad Shipyard have been shortlisted for Interior Design Award – Sailing Yacht in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2017.
BELLKARA is a fast, agile, and responsive yacht yet luxurious cruiser delivering the highest level of comfort to the owner and his guests from Conrad Shipyard. The yacht is 27.9 metres long, 7.4 metres wide and draught with the lifting keel can be changed from 2.3 metres to 4.7 metres. The yacht has a performance optimized hull powered by carbon rig and advanced sails in combination with lifting keel the secret to outstanding nautical characteristics of BELLKARA. The modern, dynamic silhouette of the yacht is underlined by the characteristic deckhouse glazing and four-spreader mast towering over the deck. The powerful 355-horsepower engine, large fuel tanks and strong hull make BELLKARA ready for long-range cruising at open seas. 
Her wide beam delivers outstanding interior volume divided into two zones. The aft part contains crew accommodations with two double crew cabins, crew mess, laundry, and navigation desk. The crew area has a separate companionway and direct access to the engine room. The large and functional galley forms a link between the crew area and the space for the owner and his guests. The full beam main salon comprises of a generous dining area and the lounge – located in central part of the boat. BELLKARA has a notably bright interior for a sailing yacht thanks to the extensive superstructure glazing and prevailing white painted furniture with elegant oak and cherry wood accents. The accommodation is for seven guests, split across a master suite in the bow and two double cabins, as well as a Pullman berth. The exquisite master suite accommodates a huge bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, beautiful bathroom, and separate toilet. Isolated from salon by means of adjoining corridor, the owner’s apartment offers remarkable comfort and silence. At the stern of the yacht there is a spacious garage which can fit a nearly 5 m tender and other boat toys.
Conrad Shipyard’s favourite aspect of the project is that even though the reliable yet sensitive sailboat gives enormous pleasure from sailing, the comfort of the interior and extra noise reducing insulation makes the boat an ideal place to rest and relax. Thanks to devotion of the people who were working on the design and their close focus on each detail the design has fulfilled or even exceeds owner’s expectations.
