What direction do you feel design is moving towards in general terms?

Hospitality is moving ahead, more competitive and exigent. All hospitality professionals need to be updated and out the box!

What sort of projects are you working on at the moment? 

I’m working in many different projects world while, from hospitality industry till private houses. I’m expanding my studios to Colombia and Malaysia and I’m dedicating some time to one of my big passions: painting!

A designer’s work is so diverse – how do you manage to hold down a career and a life?

I use to say that I don’t have a career but a project of life! Everything I do in life is about pleasure and love, so I think I can say that my work is my life…

Work, persistence and innovation.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?

Believe in your dreams!

How important do you feel Design Awards are as recognition of designers talents and achievements?

The International Hotel and Property Awards are the recognition of my team work! In the end of a good project feels good to achieve the recognition!

How do you relax?

Painting and walking on the beach!

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?

Keep on and still working!

The car you drive?

Something that moves and doesn’t let me down…

Your favourite place to travel to in the world?

Two places in mind: Thailand and Colombia.

Your favourite hotel/ restaurant/ bar?

Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok, the fantastic service, the spot, but above all the ties I created with this space.

The place that gives you the most energy?

My home in Madeira Island.

And the place that enables you to totally relax?

In Porto Santo, an island near Madeira Island

Your favourite food and drink?

Vegetables and water
