design et al are delighted to announce that Elite Design Studio have been shortlisted for Kitchen Design over £100,000 Award within The International Design and Architecture Awards 2018.
Elite Design Studio were appointed to complete a full refurbishment of this beautiful property, nestled in the heart of rural Cheshire. This luxurious and elegant late Arts and Crafts style family home was designed over four floors to provide a property in excess of 10,000 sq. ft. It includes many design features including a bespoke designed marble sweeping staircase through all four floors of the property, Solid Oak framed trusses in the double height dining room, study, large family reception rooms, large open plan kitchen, day living room, Orangery, a 6-person lift, 6 bedrooms along with a separate living guest suite and 6 en-suite bathrooms. A large leisure suite basement accommodation was also built with separate swimming pool, steam room, gym, media room, games room, and feature wine cellar.
The design brief was to create a timeless, contemporary style within their clients existing home. This consisted of a full renovation to enhance key rooms within the property, whilst embracing and integrating signature pieces of their clients existing furniture, to ensure they preserved their beautiful personal touches. Alongside being contracted the interior design brief, they also fully project managed the refurbishment, overseeing the entire process from conception to completion. This included the full design service, space planning, project conception, specification of all loose furniture and bespoke items, tender to trades and contractors, procurement, and full project installation coordinating.
The impressive kitchen day living and orangery transformation has been successfully achieved with a sense of luxury and style, with the look and feel of the open plan living space being designed in synergy with that of the whole property. It has created the perfect space for both entertaining and relaxing to tailor and accommodate the lifestyle of their family within the hub of the home. A great deal of emphasis has been placed on ensuring that the finishes and textures flow organically throughout each space, and Elite Design Studio have executed this with precision and perfection.
Whilst working alongside Hetherington Newman, Elite Design Studio have created a completely bespoke sophisticated kitchen by incorporating hand painted flat fielded design door cabinetry, striking smoked walnut veneers, book matched shark nose edge profile Calacatta Neolith worktops and antique brass detailing. As a result, the combination and balance of all these materials have showcased this show stopping kitchen to perfection. The island accommodates premium high specification Gaggenau gas hobs, which harmoniously accompany a bank of Gaggenau ovens within the tall bank of cabinetry running parallel alongside across the rear wall opposite. This too balances with the integrated tall refrigeration appliances and wine fridge which are located in the tall run of cabinetry on the adjacent wall.
The introduction of a bespoke banquette dining seating and table within a tailor designed timber frame niche, has opened up and maximised the seating space to its full potential. Keeping a soft and neutral colour palette throughout the rooms of the property has enhanced each space to flow seamlessly and effortlessly. By introducing subtle colour accents, beautifully designed unique bespoke cabinetry, carefully selected luxury brands and commissioned pieces, Elite Design Studio have impressively refurbished and transformed this property into a sophisticated, stylish and beautiful family home.
