The new Phenom 300E light jet cabin introduces the Embraer DNA Design, originally created for the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 in the upper class of the midsize cabin jets. Ergonomics is the priority of the DNA design strategy. The Phenom 300E’s innovative seating options enhance passenger comfort and mobility in the cabin with expanded aisle clearance and increased cabin space. Although seat backs were broadened, and seat bases were extended, headrests, armrests and leg support are all extendable, retracting for stowage with a lean profile.
Cabin space optimization focused on the cabin management system and flight entertainment, resulting in the all-new centreline upper tech panel that serves passengers with inflight information, entertainment and a lighting scheme that broadens the ambient mood options. Sleek, silent gaspers enhance entertainment enjoyment as well as acoustic comfort. Although easily accessible, cabin management system controls are hidden beneath the surface of the side ledge for a timeless appeal. Craftsmanship is intended to reward the customer over time and it must be perfect. The cabin has a very clear craftsmanship plan through the layering of materials; wood, metal and leather. Design brings timeless signatures and creates zones of personalisation that allow the customer to select areas where they will express their tastes.
Embraer’s design DNA prioritises human factors and this includes human interface ergonomics, which drove the development of the centerline upper tech panel. Not only do passengers gain cabin space; head room and clearance for interaction with other passengers, but now have improved interface ergonomics by centralising the man-machine interface. Comfort begins with space; collective and personal. Personal comfort in a business jet is achieved when passengers are given the ability to personalise their space, in terms of ergonomics, environment, and entertainment. Optimised seats and a centralised man-machine interface also rendered more cabin space.
In addition to the benefits gained by passengers, in terms of space and ergonomics, the aircraft’s interior design can be revisited within an ownership lifecycle, or from one to another, without the need for a complete overhaul. Aircraft maintenance is also simplified, generating tremendous operational savings.
