Goddard Design Group have been shortlisted for Bedroom Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2020
Custom designed and built by the owner, this French-inspired chateau presides over 300 acres and commands a spectacular view of a lush valley in Rogers, Arkansas.
The master bedroom is refined and drenched in blush. The custom bedding and silk drapery, along with an Edward Fields carpet create a warm and inviting retreat for Jeannie Fleeman who specifically requested that the room be elegant and the height of femininity. The custom-designed chandelier which hangs from the platinum leaf ceiling has a bronze coat and is adorned with rose quartz, clear crystals, and rock crystals. Other lighting in the room was designed using antique architectural elements.
For the furnishings, Goddard Design Group and Jeannie chose a French design that is elegant, yet comfortable and cozy. Artisans were commissioned to add special touches to the room such as a painted motif of the chateau on the headboard and plaster molding throughout the room. The sitting area was strategically placed in front of the north window which has with a stunning view of the lush valley below. This area is also home to many family photos which are beautifully enveloped in Jay Strongwater frames.
Chris’ favorite aspect of this room is the rose quartz and crystal brass chandelier. This piece was commissioned, and thus Chris enjoyed working with the artisan to create an exceptional piece of artwork for the room. The chandelier is a wonderful pop in the master bedroom, but the most amazing part is when you stand underneath and look up, you see a gorgeous crystal flower floating on a platinum leaf.
Elegance and femininity were the cues for Goddard Design Group to designing the master bedroom. Jeannie was very pleased with the outcome, as the bedroom has become one of her favorite spaces in the chateau.
Chris and Jeannie continue to update both the interior and exterior of the chateau. Their most current project is Jeannie’s vacation home located in the Cayman Islands.
