Hill House Interiors have been shortlisted for Living Space – London Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2020.
Hill House Interiors were asked by their returning clients to create a luxury interior design turn-key solution for this pied-a-terre in the heart of Covent Garden, where the family can enjoy a home from home when visiting the capital. Just a stone’s throw from the historic market piazza and St Paul’s Church, Floral Court blends history with modern architecture, housing 31 apartments and Restaurant La Goccia (part of The Petersham, born out of the renowned Richmond Petersham Nurseries).
Complementing the elegant features of the beautifully finished new build home overlooking the exclusive, picturesque courtyard, Hill House Interiors injected the apartment with a magnificent collection of opulent fabrics, high-end furnishings, distinct accessories, and bespoke artwork, perfect for open-plan living – creating the ultimate London base for their client.
Careful space planning creates three different zones in the living area that work seamlessly together, complementing each other through tone, texture and lighting. The textured neutral colour palette of anthracite, soft gold and dove grey create a harmonious and luxurious feast for the senses. Metallic accents in the artwork and chair detailing, as well as in the bespoke feature lighting ensures Hill House Interiors’ signature luxe appeal is maintained. The wall lights and chandelier by artisans Charles Burnand create a subtle yet dramatic statement and are works of art in their own right.
The award-winning development is inspired by the original market porters’ baskets stacked on top of each other – just as history inspires new architecture, this is the advent of a new era in Covent Garden. The Floral Court Collection is the first modern building to change the timbre of Floral Street.
