Camenzind Evolution have reached the shortlist for The International Hotel and Property Awards 2013 (Office Interior Award) with an innovative design scheme….

01-Level-29_reception_1In December 2012, Google Israel opened its spectacular new office in Central Tel Aviv for their ever growing teams of engineers, sales and marketing. The new office occupies 8 floors and accomodates 500 workstations within a space of approximately 8000 m2 in the prestigious Electra Tower, including breath-taking views across the entire city and the sea.

The new Google Office in Tel Aviv represents a new milestone for Google in the development of innovative work environments: nearly 50% of all areas have been allocated to create communication landscapes, giving countless opportunities to employees to flexibly collaborate and communicate with other colleagues in a diverse environment, supporting the employees in their strive for outstanding creativity and innovation.

There is a clear separation between the employees’ traditional desk-based work environment and communication areas, granting privacy and focus whenever required for desk-based individual work and a vast variety of spaces for collaborating and sharing ideas.

In line with Google’s other extraordinary offices worldwide, each floor is designed with a different aspect of the unique local identity, illustrating the diversity of Israel as a country and nation. Each of the themes were selected by a local group of employees who  assisted in the smart interpretation of these chosen ideas.

In addition, the Israeli team were also looking for an environment specifically designed and created with their rich culture in mind. With food being deeply embedded within the local culture, Google Tel Aviv offers a wide variety of delicious food choices to their employees by the means of three amazing kosher and non-kosher restaurants integrated in the designs.

Moreover, in order to nurture the local start-up community, one floor is designed for temporary use as a ‘Campus Space’ to provide small local start-up companies with an original start-up like work environment.

Internationally committed to sustainable design, the Google Tel Avive Office was designed to meet LEED Gold standard certification for this project.
