design et al are delighted to announce that Hatch Interiors have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – UK Award within The International Design and Architecture Awards 2018.
This 2-bedroom premium show home apartment was intended for use by local young professionals/city workers, a space that would provide a luxurious base within the city. The interiors were to be designed to look and feel opulent, aspirational, and memorable with interior aspects that reflected the building. Hatch Interiors’ favourite aspect of the project was the bespoke geometric fitted mirror panelling that was featured in full length of the entrance hallway. This mirror panelling was created using a combination of silver and antique mirror and makes the hallway feel more open and light.
Hatch Interiors combined distressed brass, satin chrome, and gold tones for a statement mixed-metallic palette, drawing inspiration from the materials used on the external elevation of the building. The designers also ensured that the interiors were in-keeping with the specifications expected in the area. The bedrooms were also a key aspect of the interiors of this property, the apartment also included a grand upholstered four poster bed in the master bedroom with a rose-gold texture featured wall facing it. The second bedroom featured bespoke neutral headboard panelling with a burst of colour added through feature cushions, feather wallpaper and an electric green and gold feature chair.
Hatch Interiors used a mixture of textures, patterns, and layers to create an opulent feel and incorporated bold and audacious furniture pieces to make the design memorable. The result is a premium, luxe feel with an eclectic undertone. Deep woven textiles with smooth silky cottons and plush velvets are key elements of the living room. With the main point of attraction being the pink curved sofa creating an inviting lavish escape from hectic city life.
