Congratulations to HOLA Design winner of the Living Space – Europe Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2017

design et al are delighted to announce that HOLA Design have won the Living Space – Europe Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2017.

This project, a house for a family of five, is located in a satellite city of the Warsaw metropolitan area. The property has a modern, minimalist interior, with a two-storey living room, a spacious hall, and kitchen. The colours range from white to black with a small hint of oak. Many of the elements for the interiors had to be individually designed and the designers needed the specialist skills of carpenters, masons, ironworkers, and glaziers.Hola DesignThis interior design project was entirely carried out by HOLA Design, with the implementation of many interior elements, including carpentry and parquet by companies collaborating with the studio. The interior is divided into a daily zone on the ground floor and private zone on the first floor. The whole space is combined with a two-storey living room. The main idea was to create a comfort zone for the lives of a family of five, a place where they could spend some time together, dine, relax, cook, watch TV or simply spend evenings by the fireplace.Hola DesignWhile working on the project rectangular, geometric shapes were broken into diagonal elements. Cool base colours (whites, greys, and blacks) have been insulated with oak wood. The wood is featured a little on the ground floor but much more on the first floor. In the dining room, decorative plants were placed in a closed, glass display case. HOLA Design’s favourite aspect of the project was the simple form and consistent composition combined with the timeless use of cool colours broken up with the warmth of the oak wood. The designers believe that the interiors are consistent and coherent and state that this is the power of every good project, regardless of its style.Hola Design
