The Silver Oak model villa was designed for Prestige Estate Projects Ltd. with the intent of creating a beautiful living space which will be a marketing tool to sell other villas in the Silver Oak property. The design brief specified that the villa needs to satisfy a broad range of audience ranging from high income group Indians as well as expat community looking to buy properties in Bangalore. This villa should also be functional in its design as this villa would be sold as a furnished home to the interested buyers.

“Our favourite aspects of the project were the dining area which has a cosy corner tucked in next to the kitchen. A two seater sofa against the wall with glossy framed mirror, along with four chairs with a mix of colours sets the space in the centre wide open to create an open expanse through to the kitchen. The opposite wall has a buffet unit with creative shelving designed to complement the rest of the dining area.”

This design works well because it understand the functionality requirements of an Indian and an expat home owner and incorporates the same in its layout. It understands that a living area is the most important for an Indian family where as a kitchen is the heart of the home for a European client. The design merges this beautifully, creating cozy sense of warmth to the villa.
