Sculptural furniture designers Splinter Works are the latest to be shortlisted into the Table category with their stunning commissioned piece Soar. Drawing on inspiration from their clients, an aviation business, the base, made from polished nickel, is an impressionistic reference to flight and so resonates with the company perfectly.

The glass centre of the table allows everyone to view the base even when surrounded by people and the geometric shape of the table top allows for a large number of people to sit at the table and make it easy for everyone to see and hear each other.

In the middle of the table is a smaller panel allowing guests to see the sculpture while seated and also lets light into the underside, highlighting the reflecting the metal base.
