design et al are delighted to announce that Jet Aviation have been shortlisted for the Private Jet Design – Concept Award in  The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2020.

Spacious, light and airy – this is a cabin designed to feel like a home. Traditional design elements are offset by modern furniture in a stylish and elegant contemporary aesthetic. By mixing innovation and tradition, relaxation and originality, aviation materials and artisan pieces, Jet Aviation transformed the interior into a comfortable and unique living space, ideal for both family and business use.

Jet Aviation used famous Haussmannian design features, such as ornate mouldings, herringbone parquet floors, and double doors to recreate a classic French elegance. Neutral colours in sofas, rugs, and lighting fixtures, are key to creating a timeless cabin that feels both comfortable and spacious, while furniture pieces such as seats and divans, accented with gold details and decorative items pillows, add to the overall elegance.

Bespoke furniture in wood veneer is designed to give the impression of free-standing elements to further emphasize the residential atmosphere of the cabin. This furniture is exquisitely detailed, made up of combinations of paint, figured quarter cut makore wood veneer, and a luxurious elm burl for special feature pieces.

Elegant indulgence defines the entire cabin, with statement pieces throughout. A large dining table is envisaged as a decorative base and stone veneer inset top, while an intricate carpet design recalls the large central rugs that form the focal point of many smart Parisian apartments. Materials include Nero Portoro marble and stone made of petrified wood, set against fabrics from houses such as Casamance, Sahco Hesslein, Rubelli and Christian Fischbacher.
