Impiana Hotel is the very first 4-star business hotel situated in Senai, the Iskandar’s fastest growing economic region, a matured township with many residences nearby, low rise commercial shop lots and 2 blocks of condominiums next to the hotel. It is located less than 10km away from the Senai International Airport, the hotel aims to capture and serve the business crowds and provide facilities to nearby major multinational electronics manufacturers. KCC Development Group was started as a small-scale housing development, delivering only the best and value-for money housing to thousands of residents. The group aims and strives to expand the company through diversification to commercial and hospitality developments. The newly built hotel in Senai was intended to bring new excitement and hospitality services to the current township.
The owner aims to provide all round services and facilities to guests, especially professionals from major electronics manufacturers. From front desk service, in-room services, F&B outlets, and functions facilities, the hotels intent is to capture all requirement and needs by the business group which covers majority of the hotels targeted guests. Impiana Hotels & Resorts Management Sdn Bhd which is well-known of their hospitality services was invited to be the core operator of the hotel. The entire design process was carried out together with the operator.
Impiana Hotel Senai is equipped with 172 guest rooms, a ballroom which can cater up to 250 people, function rooms, swimming pool and lounge, premier lounge spaces that cater to various needs – be it for business, lifestyle, family or private, the hotel is to be a new destination for all target groups. The building facade is designed with a modern and sleek outlook, it aims to out stand from the low-rise township that it surrounds, and to embark the area with a new landmark as a pro-business destination.
The designers have chosen a subtle and neutral palette which creates an ambience from the entrance up to the guest rooms. The main lobby greets guests with a tint of luxe with a large surface of reflective materials, blended in with the usage of natural wood veneers. A similar scheme was carried throughout the hotel public areas; the top floor which is the premier sky lounge, offered to club members extends the cosiness and exclusiveness to VIP guests. The main lobby is featured with a hand-crafted panel, with fluid abstract foliage veins and coated with texture paint, every inch of the panel is made up by the artist. The design softens the entire lobby when guests reach the front counter.
