The renovation of The Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica is a celebration of its natural surroundings, complementing the energy of the peninsula. With a perfect balance of authentic comfort and luxury, The Four Seasons Papagayo has become a magnet for guests and locals seeking an experience that energizes and indulges the senses.
With great respect for the inherent, beautiful surroundings, a meaningful approach to design was taken into account by Meyer Davis. Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica is a celebration of the natural world, and the interiors complement that. The design features very simply designed, bespoke, hand selected pieces made of local woods and an eclectic arrangement of furnishings that celebrate the rustic coastal Central American lifestyle. By working with local artisans and materials Meyer Davis are maintaining the costal aesthetic in a fresh and modern way with a strong emphasis on luxury and comfort. The most valuable part of the project was seeing these thoughtful ideals come together full circle.
The modern, clean interpretation of the rustic coastal aesthetic has a compelling and tailored freshness to it. This was created by featuring simple elements of local materials and hand-craftmanship and while maintaining a strong emphasis on luxury and comfort. The result of this unique connection in interior setting is fitting for the high-end traveller in search of an authentic experience that is exclusive to this secluded peninsula on the Northern Pacific coast.
Perfectly positioned amongst lush tropical gardens, the guest is invited into a serene sanctuary, an unspoiled world of luxury, which beckons each guest in to the “Pura Vida” … the Pure Life. From the moment, the guest arrives it will be an experience of unveiling discovery as they proceed through the sprawling property. Upon entrance into the open-air lobby, live edge furniture is paired with loosely slipcovered comfortable sofas that feature colourful fabrics of native motifs. Hanging above, pendants are woven in rope that mimic the handmade basketry from the markets nearby.
Lush pathways wind through the property, leading the guest to the new spa, pools, and multiple dining and lounge experiences that the resort has to offer. Tucked away in the tropical landscape, the guestrooms, suites and villas have all been upgraded with advanced lighting systems, newly designed interior finishes and furniture, extending throughout the balconies which open up your own private oasis for a relaxed indoor/ outdoor living retreat.
