Tell us a little about your background in design
At a young age, I discovered the need to balance both creative art and technical problem solving. I studied Mathematical Sciences and Art, and quickly grew to love the challenges of designing aircraft interiors! I have led Greenpoint Design for the past 15+ years, and am very proud of our exquisite, exciting portfolio of VIP aviation projects.
How would you describe your personal design style?
I love acquiring new design influences through international travel and research into new cultures. I seek sophistication through simplicity. Recent inspirations include sustainable fashion initiatives and modern airport architecture that reignite the joy of travel. I am driving toward timeless interiors, with playful artwork and seamless technology, aligned with the highest end of luxury.
Where does your design inspiration come from?
Design is a lifestyle; inspiration comes from everyday encounters, nature, culture and society’s needs.
In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Along with the consistent requests for modern, open and functional interior schemes, I’m seeing more interest in sustainable or biophilic designs. Clients desire simple to use technology, adaptable spaces, lighting for added depth, and soft muted colors and textures. Less is more.
Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2020 and beyond.
- Always plan for the future – our projects take months to years to complete, and therefore require forward thinking innovation and clean technology.
- Design with sound engineering and robust materials – quality, fit and feel is our focus.
- Discover efficient use of interior storage space to make life abroad most convenient and rewarding – passion shows in the smallest details.
- Visually bring the outside in by accentuating large windows, natural light and accent mood lighting.
- Understand the complexity of private aircraft design and the need to adapt, discover and communicate.
If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
Know your client and know their story. The scheme is for and about them.

What projects are you currently working on?
Greenpoint Design is currently supporting Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) 787-8 V-VIP completion programs, upcoming interior completion programs, and completing design concepts and deck plan options for various airframes such as the Boeing 777X and Airbus A350.
What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
In 2020, Greenpoint will deliver its third Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) 787-8 V-VIP completion and induct additional 787s, including the world’s first 787-9 for V-VIP interior completion.

My three amazing, smart and beautiful daughters!

Paris – everything French! Maui, Hawaii – to refresh the body and mind.
