London based furniture designer Aiveen Daly, has been shortlisted for the Sofa award in the International Product Design Awards 2013.

The inspiration for the piece originated from the iconic Chanel handbag – the timeless design that never dates. Echoing its diamond quilted design the Ice Diamond was constructed using the softest leather and hand quilted with over 250 perfectly symmetrical and meticulously placed diamonds. The process requires absolute precision as once the needle perforates leather there is no going back if a mistake is made.

Shown here in palest grey leather with grey gloss legs but several other finishes are available.

The piece simply oozes Daly’s signature style – full of haute couture inspiration, unique craftsmanship and a fastidious attention to detail. And, as with all of her furniture, it has been upholstered by hand in her London studio.

Can be customized as required with a variety of wood finishes for the legs and fabric or leather finishes for the upholstery.
