Crestron International have been shortlisted in the ID&A Awards 2014, with their project entering the Living Space – UK category.
The Crestron showroom demonstrates to clients how a Crestron system can be seamlessly integrated in a home, office, hotel or any living environment. The emphasis is on luxury and the creation of a calm, welcoming and beautiful space which allows clients to not only enjoy the surroundings created by Louise Bradley but to see the full range of Crestron products working at their best.
Family Sitting Room: The first room you reach when entering the space is a family sitting room with all elements controlled by the Crestron system – from the eye-catching collection of flickering candle lights to the multi-media system, which manages and controls heating, air conditioning, security, lighting, intercom, multi-room audio and of course, the entertainment content.
Crestron’s lighting control system provides a variety of different ambiences – whatever the chosen luminaire. Look up and you will see elegant coffer lighting, subtly illuminating the space and creating a feature of the ceiling itself. Featuring luminaires and control from Crestron’s Green Light® portfolio of lighting solutions, the lighting throughout the Showroom create great visual effects, are easy to operate and through good energy management run as energy efficiently as possible.
Kitchen: To the left of the family room is the sleek kitchen with a low-profile seating feature attached to the serving bar. This area is fitted with minimalist white units with a white glass counter top finish. There’s a very stylish 24” V-PanelTM HD Touch Screen Display, a UFO Waterproof Wireless LCD Remote (ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, spa’s and even yachts – a fully functioning panel that floats!) and an iPad2 and docking station. Crestron’s systems can be operated via a wide array of devices; from their intelligently designed and beautiful touchpanels, to the full range of smartphones and tablets.
Second Lounge / Living space: This area is designed as a comfortable, modern living area. The 42″ LCD television appears at the touch of the controller out of the cabinet. Crestron’s ground-breaking DigitalMediaTM system is controlled in this space with the slim and elegant MTX-3 Isys® 2.8″ Handheld Wireless Touch Screen. Audio is played through the company’s ASPIRETM 8″ 2-way in-ceiling speakers, which have been installed with bezel-free grilles to suit the minimal interior.
Boardroom / office space: Crestron systems are also used the world-over in commercial spaces and the showroom includes a fully functioning Boardroom and office space. This room showcases the impressive Crestron RLTM, a comprehensive group collaboration solution that combines Crestron hardware with Microsoft® Lync® software. Based on Microsoft Lync 2013, this full-featured unified communication system enables video, voice, interactive content sharing, presence and chat from one touch screen interface. Step into the boardroom to see how with just one touch of a button, anyone can walk into a conference room and instantly start a collaboration session. Once again, everything is controllable via the TST-600 touchpanel, including Crestron’s silent motorised blinds and curtains.
