Hampton Yacht Building Co. Ltd. have achieved further shortlist success in the fifth annual International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2015. The Endurance 686 LRC Skylounge will compete for the Power Yacht up to 25 Metres Award.

Hampton Yacht Building Co. Ltd. have created a new form of long-range cruising yacht that has the ability to go fast as well as slow, with efficiency comparable to, or better than, other craft that operate in either of those speed ranges.
The Endurance 686 is capable of long passages offshore, with safety and sea-kindliness. Stability had to meet the high US Coast Guard standard of commercial passenger vessels in ocean service. At the same time it needed to have a spacious modern motor yacht interior, rather than that of a typical trawler type yacht. Naval architecture and exterior design comes from the renowned Howard Apollonio with interior design from Sandra Roberts.
Styling was to be a fresh version of the passage maker genre of yachts, and should remain attractive over a long period of time. The success of this design results from the teamwork of a dedicated, capable, first-class builder; experienced dealers; and designers with a wealth of relevant, practical experience.
The unique hybrid hull and suitable propulsion deliver the performance sought. This design and vessel became the predecessor for 4 other production series yachts, with similar attributes; from 59’ (17.98m) to 92‘ (28.04m) length.
