The design brief from the clients, was to knock together three grade II listed apartments into one large residence. The central axis has been to effortlessly link the three handsome reception rooms, creating an avenue of individually designed spaces, each becoming more intimate, unified by the long balcony overlooking the mature gardens. The tone for the apartment is set early from the street.  Externally it is clear from the balconies, fenestration and rhythm of the architecture that the first floor is the bel étage. The entrance to the apartment is via a marble floored, timber panelled lobby.

The sleeping accommodation is arranged to the rear.  Each generous guest bedroom comes with its own en-suite and bespoke dressing room.  The master suite is an apartment in itself, comprising a collection of rooms complete with resplendent dressing room, his and hers bathrooms and direct lift access for shopping and luggage. Commitment in renovating the historic fabric of the apartment has been carried forward into the architectural detail and bespoke joinery. The Versailles floor was made bespoke and finished on site.

The three large front rooms, which flow from one to another via large doorways and the long front balcony which runs from side to sideIt creates a large lateral apartment, more in common with Paris or Italy. Large lateral spaces are rare in London, and you can stand in the kitchen at one end, and see the library wall at the other end, nearly 25m away, all with a back drop of Lennox Gardens and its glorious trees.
