design et al are delighted to announce the successful short listing of Taylor Interiors for the Interior Design £2.5-5 million (Project Value) Award.

Villa Andratx, a masterpiece of contemporary architecture, is a bespoke designed villa for a family with grown up children who love to entertain at their holiday retreat in the beautiful resort of Port Andratx. This newly built luxury modern villa has stunning sea views, and has been furnished as a summer holiday retreat.

Taylor Interiors were commissioned to create very comfortable, cozy, and modern, holiday home in Mallorca, which would allow their two grown up children, with their partners, to fully enjoy the house and entertain their guests. The task was to create a perfect “party house for the summer”. The architect purposely divided the house in two separate wings. There would be one for parents with additional bedrooms for their guests, and the second wing consisting of four bedroom for the “youngsters”, who could also use the attached cinema room in the lower ground floor. Generally the client requested a light colour scheme throughout the house, except for in the dramatic dining room/wine cellar, where their wish was to create a “wild beast cave”. All of the bedrooms are en-suite and allow all the family members and their guests to have enough privacy.
