The renovation of the oldest hotel on Portugal’s Algarve coast has been shortlisted for the International Design & Architecture Awards 2013.
The interior architecture and decoration of Bela Vista Hotel & Spa project by Viterbo Interior Design, included both the existent Palacete (small palace ) and Casa Azul (the Blue House) with their unique rooms and suites and was decorated in a manner that ensured the preservation of their original ambience – a pre-requisite specific to a Charme hotel.
The revival and extension of the Bela Vista by harnessing imagination with quality, detail and comfort, was a demanding project needed to maintain a thread of originality. As the oldest hotel in the Algarve, it was with restored antique Portuguese tiles and wooden ceilings whilst evoking an atmosphere of wellbeing.
