design et al are delighted to announce the successful short listing of Taylor Interiors for the Living Space Europe Award.

Casa Sol is a newly built luxury modern villa with stunning sea views. The villa has been furnished for a Norwegian client as their summer holiday retreat. The villa is naturally illuminated by floor length windows in all rooms, which offer breathtaking views over the bay and to the open sea. The ground floor consists of a formal and informal living room, a dinig room with the ambience of a “bodega”, an impressive Bulthaup kitchen which includes an informal dining area, and finally one en-suite bedroom for the family’s guests. There are five more en-suite bedrooms on the first floor, most of which have balconies overlooking the extensive terraces and pool. The interior style corresponds to the architecture, which is a combination of contemporary and modern furnishings, resulting in a living space that is welcoming, comfortable, pampering and harmonious.

Superior sofa and fabric brands were used for the living rooms. Spanish brand Casa Desus and Osbourne & Little provided white leather & delux velvet with a snakeskin pattern, for the upholstery. The central low tables, side table and large design-statement bookshelf, were chosen from Desiree and Visionnaire. The formal dining room is furnished in elegant Fendi pieces which are accompanied by dramatic wall lamps and black velvet curtains.
