design et al are delighted to announce that Baxter Creative Pty Ltd have been shortlisted for a Residential £1-2.5 Million (Project By Value) Asia Pacific Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2016
The team at Baxter Creative Pty Ltd were asked by a regular client to re-envisage a heritage listed house that had been unceremoniously renovated to create a fairly ordinary family home. The client needed an expansive but casual area for regular entertaining and a huge master suite with large dressing area. 
The clients travel a lot and are often interstate so the master suite needed to be a sanctuary. Whilst not a huge house, the main living area needed to accommodate large gatherings for extensive social events as they are a high profile client.
The new master suite which was created from the original living room and two bedrooms. The enfilade sequence makes for a dramatic and striking space. It is an extremely cohesive design with a design aesthetic applied consistently in all rooms. It also solved a number of difficult ‘brief items’ requested by the client and became a very unique but infinitely usable and beautiful home.
