Leinster Square is an elegant, Grade II listed stucco terrace that has been converted into 11 homes, all situated on a heritage garden square. As the building has a historic grade listing, the design brief was to create a space that incorporated traditional British heritage elements, while modernising the fixtures and fittings to benefit 21st century tastes.
The overall intention and brief was to create a space that specifically references a Victorian past, with touches of the elegance and grandeur of the period, while incorporating the lifestyle needs and desires of contemporary residents. The key element in the whole Leinster Square development has been its historicity. By restoring several of the features to their Victorian and Edwardian glory, we have enabled the modern amenities and lifestyle led choices to show to best advantage.
The combination of Victorian inspiration with modern living has allowed us to create a unique building with its own voice and history. Traditional materials, such as a timber floor laid in a beautiful, heritage herringbone pattern, are an elegant through-line throughout the entire space. Meanwhile the open plan kitchen and dining area is equipped for family living or entertaining.
