A busy professional couple longed for an upgrade without having to give up their existing home. With home prices rapidly rising, they decided to invest in what is arguably the busiest and most important room in the home: the kitchen. For such a space, functionality had to be hand in hand with beauty. A room that would evolve with it’s owner’s tastes and lifestyle as well as be a delight to the eye.
Sharp, crisp lines in white neatly define available storage, blending in with white that graces the walls creates an aura of serenity and light. Fully customized cabinets offer discreet storage, tripling how much the kitchen can hold. Accents of gold in the handles provide sunny nuances that echo in the pendant lights that hang over the kitchen island. This subtle gilding encourages warmth with minimalist color and without disrupting the flow, the overall impression is gleaming yet organised.
This theme follows into the adjacent rooms with a marble-inspired palette of beige and creams, paired with stony lavender and splashes of gold as reflected in the chandelier that hangs above the dining table. The contrast against the dark wood of the floor is echoed in the furnishings adding interest and depth the overall look. The spaces welcomes character from it’s owners and a soothing respite without noise. Soft patterns provide interest among the furnishings without fighting against them. The furnished bay window seats invite comfort and a freshness to the overall design.
