After a successful display of a 5 bedroom Sky Suite at One Shenton imagined by SuMisura, the client, CDL has renewed the collaborative adventure once again. This time, CDL has entrusted the Singapore-based design studio with a 3-storey, approximately 7000 square feet 5 bedroom sky villa that comes with a pool terrace with an exceptional view of the city’s skyline and coastline. The interior design concept for the property is unique in its creation of functional spaces within the huge double volume space on the lower level and long linear layout on the second level of the sky villa. The designers chose a lavender punch within a palette of neutrals to blend pleasantly with the different shades of blue that corresponded with the skies and sea. To further enhance the relationship between the gorgeous city and sea view as part of the overall design, window treatment were kept to just a thin layer of sheer material so one will always be able to enjoy the view without the glare of the sun. The layering of space is of the designers’ top priority as the property has a very long span of living space and a delicate balance has to be reached between allowing a seamless flow from the foyer, living, dining, library and yet allow one to be able to differentiate and understand the space. There are many striking features within the villa. Streamlined, black spray painted ash wood frameworks are created to ensure that the structural elements are cohesively aligned. Tall full height display feature dressed with black ash, polished stainless steel and illuminated with LED lights that spans the entire living space and created a dramatic effect in the evenings.
