We are currently working on 747-8 and 777-300 Head of State proposals.

Where do you feel aviation design is going in terms of interior schemes?
I have seen a futuristic approach to interiors recently with carbon fiber and metal accents. However, I think it just depends on the client’s taste. My thought process is more organic. I might see a vintage light fixture or unique a cabinet detail that is the inspiration and build from there. I would like to be on the cutting edge of something new and different yet still approachable.
Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2016 and beyond.
Always form and function as well as scale, technology and seat design.
What are your favorite recent schemes – please describe key elements.
Of course, our A350 Rendering Concept with the lattice dividers and Winch Designs’ seat detailing for an A320.
If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
Scale is so important when it comes to larger aircraft. Proportion and room size are key when designing a wide-body aircraft.

My guilty pleasure is Pinterest. It’s amazing what you kind find with a click of a button.
As a designer please list the following:
- The place that gives you most inspiration. The environment I live and work in…gallery openings, concerts, fashion shows, commercial and residential design, cars, yachts…all of it is inspiring.
- The place you can relax. My house. I love my 95 year old airplane bungalow. It has great light and is filled with art and love.
- The most inspirational design scheme/project you have seen/visited in. I was inspired last year by Winch Designs’ A320. The decorative details on the seats and mix of veneers were masculine yet elegant.
