The sleek and modern interiors of Caramel make for an exciting addition to the vibrant streets of this beautiful capital city. The brief created by Caramel and the Al Zaman Group was to create a dedicated venue in the city of London showcasing an evolved design approach and brand identity to the existing Caramel group. The venue itself was to be located at 272 Brompton Road which was previously the site of La Brasserie. Caramel was to create a unique offering within this prestigious area of the capital, providing for a stylish upmarket current design establishing an immediate draw for its projected clientele.
This fabulously located venue was to provide for at least 120 covers spilt between restaurant, bar, and lounge areas, offering a variety of internationally inspired food and beverages. Caramel was to therefore offer a perfectly flexible dining option which would include an extensive wine, spirits, and cocktail list with particular attention to its mixology, all of which are curated bespoke by Caramel London. The interiors were to be inspired by an art deco era embracing dynamic finishes and a mix of natural materials such as copper, brass, natural marble and cementitious surfaces, bespoke lighting features, simple yet exquisitely styled furniture, plush upholstery, and bold styling that naturally complimented its location and the existing brands ethos. The interiors of caramel are an immediate draw, providing Londoners and tourists alike with an unrivalled offering in a stunning setting.
A striking new addition to South East London, the interiors of caramel make for a relaxed and comfortable setting, yet also allow for an evening of fine wine and sharing plates. The entire venue is subtlety dressed with off-beat sensual details discreetly hidden in every corner; from its seamless Senso printed flooring, to its exposed raw urban yet refined intricately detailed ceiling features, combined with its unique statement furniture and visually striking light features that create a true vision of beauty and intrigue that engages all senses.
The beautifully bespoke bar, a unique feature, is visually dynamic exquisitely crafted yet approachable. The bar creates a natural engagement and focal point to the venue which combines a unique array of material combinations of natural and man-made surfaces such as backlit alabaster, polished copper, black chrome, and cold rolled steel. In addition to the bar are hexagonal fitted booths intricately detailed and exuding an air of refined elegance which provide a perfect hideaway for the evening ahead. For all of caramels modern fittings and materials there remains a decidedly old school style and spirit to the venues interior, sympathetic to current trends yet also humbling to its immediate surroundings.
