design et al are delighted to announce that Karen Lynn Interior Design have been shortlisted for the Concept Under 40 Meters Award in The International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2019.
Karen Lynn Interior design was appointed chief designer of this extensive refit project. The client, who owns 3 motor yachts likes to charter his yachts, and M/Y No Limit is the latest yacht in his fleet to be subject to a modernising refit. The design brief was very specific, as the client is in the charter market, the design specified by Karen Lynn Interior Design needed to be modern, clean and most of all luxurious.
Karen Lynn Interior Design was also given the task of re-designing the exterior areas of M/Y No Limit. The furniture was replaced, and the profile and arrangement of the seating areas on deck were completely redesigned around the new furniture, giving the area more space and a much more relaxed atmosphere.
M/Y No Limit was also subject to a complete electrical rewire, this also included a new lighting scheme and SAT system. A new audio-visual specification was implemented, and the air-conditioning was upgraded. The Galley and living quarters were subject to an extensive renovation. Taken down to the bare metal of the superstructure Karen Lynn Interior Design was designing this refit directly from the drawing board, this refit enabled Karen Lynn Interior Design to work with the owner to really help express his interests and expand upon his ideas for the refit.
