Adache Group Architects was commissioned to renovate and expand an existing hotel property located on Pompano Beach. The design was inspired by its oceanfront location and developed by breathing a new life and energy back into the property. The interior and exterior of this unique landmark beachfront property has been completely rejuvenated, bringing ocean views to each of the stylish hotel?s eight floors. Today, the magnificent oceanfront hotel graces the Pompano Beach skyline. The 219 room Marriott Pompano Beach Resort represents the conclusion of a stunning renovation that has modernized the property?s public spaces and guest rooms, businesscenter, ballroom, fitness center, and meeting space.
Due to the amount of beach frontage the design team was able to construct a new tower with a spa and lifestyle facility and an additional 119 guest suites. The two structures were conformed to create a seamless and cohesive beach front property. The central facilities building accommodates a state of the art conference facility and the roof top of the ballroom was designed as an event lawn and is an appealing visual from the guest suites above. From the upper deck, guests have an omnidirectional view from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway.
One of the many challenges was converting the existing structure to comply with the Marriott brand standards. The existing structure had numerous limitations in regards to the floor to floor ceiling heights, an antiquated mechanical and an electrical system which needed to be completely redesigned.
The guest room upgrades include floor-to-ceiling windows in every room, oversized flat-screen televisions. All rooms and bathrooms now feature granite surfaces, frameless glass shower enclosures with rainfall showerheads and Marriott signature bath amenities.
Omni directional views from the Intracoastal waterway, it offers a barefoot elegance retreat for the leisure and business travelers. The property is located close to the excitement and urban environment of Fort Lauderdale but is far enough away for a quiet and relaxing beach retreat.
The hotel compliments and embraces the beach and ocean and blends the existing facilities with the new building. The renovated and new amenities enhance the guest experiences and the hotel guests leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
