The exterior lines of Andreika are a progression from elegant hand sketches of a fully functioning superyacht. The owner wished to retain some classic elements and curves such as the traditional bow, profile curve to the hardtop and large floating birds nest. Al Fresco 106 ‘Andreika’, designed by H2 Yacht Design, is a wide-body superyacht (8.10 metres of Beam). H2 added their touches to keep the overall design sharp, modern and iconic. Particular detail was made to the angled windows, wraparound teak decks, stainless steel handrail, floating hardtop and an integrated pool.
‘Andreika’ has a huge 100 SM fly bridge, (typical of much larger mega yachts), with an extra-large hardtop; comfortable loose furniture; a plunge pool for eight people, two external flat screens, bar and entertainment centre. The ‘Alfresco’ dining area to main deck is truly an extension of the main salon, the area becomes one when the sliding glazing is closed, and the air conditioning is ducted to the exterior space. The teak ceiling with recessed indirect lighting adds another beautiful feature to the area and gives a true yacht feel and warmth when the area is illuminated in the evenings. The process of converting the area was intentionally made very quick and easy for maximum flexibility and gives the owner a space to be immersed in the outdoors whilst escaping the midday heat. This immersion continues in the main salon with full height windows port and starboard and cut down bulwarks to take in most of the view. These windows are intentionally angled top and bottom for guests to not just look out, but look up.
This feature when coupled with the near 90m2 flybridge gives an expansive and seriously impressive amount of space on a 32m platform. Combining these areas creates more than enough space for entertaining a large group or for finding a quiet place to relax. The areas are all equipped for parties as well large freezers and ice compartments, a cocktail bar and BBQ all easily accessible to guests. The flow between the two areas is via a wide and gentle sloping stair on starboard-side. The importance of all stairs being gentle and wide to walk on was very important as this is often compromised on the smaller platforms. Al Fresco 106 has a full beam owner’s suite, two VIP bedrooms and two twin bedrooms which can accommodate up to 12 guests. Most of the furniture is loose, which makes the boat extremely easy to accommodate to any owners needs and taste. The owner can enjoy the living areas of a much larger boat with the investment cost and running cost of a 106, this is something like nobody else has.
