design et al are delighted to announce that Anthony & Sylvan Pools have been shortlisted for Residential Swimming Pool Award within The International Design and Architecture Awards 2017.
The Marquis Seven Hills residential pool has been designed by Anthony & Sylvan Pools. This contemporary infinity-edge pool has outstanding features, including a main pool featuring a zero edge, an infinity edge and a cantilever. There is also a kitchen area with a reflection pool, an 11-foot high waterfall, a Koi pond and an infinity-edge spa between the main pool and observation deck areas.
As you enter the home you are welcomed by 90 lineal feet of water which is 18 inches deep. This area joins a 1500 square off from the main pool with a dual infinity edge pool. The main pool hosts a cabana with the appearance of it floating on the surface of the main pool. On the opposite side of the main pool the designers have featured the second 700 square foot living area pool with a rim flow edge. Within 2 inches from this area the designers have created an entertainment area that co-mingles with a 600 square foot koi pond. A 20-inch-wide pocket door opens to a living area pool. The living area pool has an infinity edge that drops 13 inches to an open-air basement. The master bedroom is complemented by a 360-degree rim flow spa just outside a 15′ pocket door separating the indoor and outdoor living area.
Anthony & Sylvan design team’s favourite aspect is the sunken living area separating the two pools with two infinity edges spilling around the perimeter of the living area. Integrating the inside living environment with the outside environment. A combination of all of the water elements into the home make a seamless statement of minimal elegance. Water hydraulics, custom detailed concrete and tile work were created and included by special artisans.
