The homeowner wanted a home that reflected a Hawaiian sense of place. The desired features for the home were open concept plan that included a formal dining room, large eat-in kitchen, family room, and living room all in one great room. The 5,000 sq ft. home would also include 2 master suites, guest room ensuite, office / guestroom with separate bath and large laundry area.

The homeowner had an arm and shoulder injury, so the kitchen island was lowered to a height that would allow the homeowner to work at more comfortable level when preparing food. The coffee bar was created to visually separate the dining room and kitchen and incorporate double ovens at a comfortable level. The master suite has access to the covered lanai, great landscape views and includes a large soaking tub with walk in shower, double vanities with his and hers countertop storage. A large walk- in closet was built and a toilet room was created for privacy and shares the linen closet storage. The second master suite provides the same landscape views with a generous bathroom layout outfitted for aging in place along with a smaller walk-in closet.

The office/guest room has a built-in zoom room bed with guest storage and built-in desk space to serve both functions. The guest bathroom has a steam shower and offers a spa like experience. The guest suite sits at the front of the home and includes a beautiful soaking tub/shower combination for guests to enjoy. The covered lanai is the most utilized area in the home. There is a spacious sitting are with wall mounted TV, a large Teak dining table that can sit up to 8 people, a built-in bar-b-que area and a pass through bar to the kitchen.
