Battersea Project by JHR Interior Architecture & Design

JHR Interiors have been shortlisted for City Space (Apartment/Penthouse) Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2020.

JHR Interior Architecture & Design were enlisted for the interior design of this luxury London apartment. Overlooking leafy Battersea Park and just a stone’s throw from the river and fashionable Chelsea, the client tasked the designers with creating a sophisticated home for his children to use as a base as they studied in London. The apartment benefits from panoramic windows which sweep across the living areas, providing beautiful views of the surrounding park and the city.

JHR Interior Architecture & Design made the most of the plentiful natural light with a softly neutral colour scheme whilst the bespoke media unit crafted in dark wood with brass trim created a striking focal point for the room. There are delicate instances of teal throughout the living and dining areas, JHR used this as an inspiration for the bedrooms and combined blue hues and champagne and cream tones with darker wood and gold finishes which created a different kind of room for each of the children.

It was important for the designers to create a grown-up space for the client’s children, and essential luxuries were not to be spared. The designers sourced the upholstery from Bespoke Sofa London and the lighting from Bella Figura.

The key aspect of this project, according to the designers, was really clever space planning. JHR Interior Architecture & Design were able to create separate zones for the living and dining areas in what was a relatively compact space.
